Yes the new Apple iPhone 4G is on sale now but probably sold out already! Yesterday, Apple released a statement saying that the white version of the iPhone 4G will not be available until late July due to production difficulties.
The hotly anticipated release has also been marred by reports of defective displays showing yellowish brown spots that dis-colour the retina screens near the bottom edges…
Its also been reported to be dropping signal bars when the iPhone 4G is held in the hand and Apple has admitted that this is a bug they plan to fix. The problem they say is with the way the bars are presented on the screen only, not the actual ability to make a call, and that in nearly all of these cases, the iPhone 4 was still able to place calls despite the lack of bars.
It has a front-facing camera for making video calls and accompanied with a new App called FaceTime, users of the iPhone 4 can video call each other using wi-fi. There’s still no word on when it will support other camera enabled devices like Laptops but surely it is only a matter of time! It has another 5 megapixel camera with a backside-illuminated sensor which increases the amount of light captured therefore resulting in better photographs, particularly in low-light. The camera will also record 30 frames per second of High Definition HD video at 720p resolution, while the bright LED flash can be used to light up video subjects.
It has a 3.5 inch retina display with four times the pixel density of a typical LCD display at a whopping 326 pixels per inch, which is denser than anything else in the consumer electronics market, and a jaw-dropping native resolution of 960 by 640 pixels which is even higher than what the human eye can perceive!
It has a new OS (Operating System) called iOS4 which supports multi-tasking so that you can use more than one Application at a time, for example stream music with Pandora and surf the web with Safari iPhone Apps. It also has better E-mail with one unified inbox for multiple mail services.
There is a new way to better organise apps into folders with drag-and-drop simplicity which means you get faster access to your favourites. It lets you browse and manage up to 2160 apps, which is more than you need on one iPhone if you ask me! But then you are not, so go ahead fill her up and enjoy the smartest Smartphone yet 🙂
